1 PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to the general process that should be followed for uploading a configuration template to a new WMS Gun.
2 PROCEDURE
Pre-requisites
Velocity Console installed on laptop of party carrying out procedure.
Party carrying out procedure has a valid login to the Velocity Console.
A new gun to be configured.
A valid license for the gun.
Unlocking Surelock.
When first receiving a gun it will need setting up with WIFI details for STEEPER. The gun will be locked so you will need to exit surelock. To do this on the lock screen tap the screen 5 times, you will then be prompted to enter the password (see keepass). This takes you to a menu, scroll down and select "Exit Surelock". This will bring you to the android screen, enter WIFI settings (see below). Ensure when done to drag down the screen and select Launch Integrated Surelock.
Configure WIFI.
Connect to WIFI as STEEPER and enter the password. In the options, go to Privacy and change from Use Randomised MAC (default) to Use device MAC.
To create/edit the configuration file for the gun(s).
Create folder in I:\ERP Dept\Software\Fusion Capture for the gun using the existing naming convention for the gun HHxx (where xx is the number of the gun).
In the created folder create a subfolder called Project
Copy the file Steeper FusionCapture.zip from folder I:\ERP Dept\Software\Fusion Capture\Velocity Project to the Project folder just created.
Open Velocity Console
Drag and drop Steeper FusionCapture.zip onto the Velocity Console.
Make any required changes to the profile.

(Where x is the gun number).
This is populated in the Host Address Field.
Click Save

Click Deploy

Save the WLDEP file in the I:\ERP Dept\Software\Fusion Capture\HH0x folder.
Log onto SureMDM console (https://steepergroup.eu.suremdm.io/console/v3/#)
Each gun has an ID number that can be seen on the Velocity launch screen on the gun.

Click on the TC22 Holding Pen on the left hand side.

Locate the unit on the list with the corresponding ID number in the Devices column. The final three digits correspond with the xx’s at the end of the gun profile HHxx.

Delete Configuration files from the gun
It is necessary to delete any existing configuration files from the guns before deploying a new file.
Right Click on the device on the list and click apply

Double click on the device to clear the configurations for and double click on the velocity jobs folder

Click on the job “Clear Old Profiles Completely”

Click Apply
Note - This job doesn't alway succeed in deleting the profile. Android has a cached copy which it tries to restore following deletion. If this job doesn't remove the profile, run the jobs Delete Deploy Files in root folder and Clean Velocity Profiles A11 separately.

Create a job to copy the configuration file to the gun.
Click on jobs tab

Click new job

Select Android

Select File Transfer

Select File and navigate to the configuration file created earlier.
Set the Device Path as /sdcard/com.wavelink.velocity/
Click Ok then Save

Apply the job you just created on the device it relates to.
Restart the gun. In Velocity right click on the device and select reboot. (Or on the gun hold down the power button and select restart).

The profile should now appear.
License the gun
When selecting the profile a license will be requested. Click add license and enter details as below:
Licensee Name: Steeper
Registered User: Michael Hawksworth
Platform Version: Velocity Android 2.0 WEB
Serial Number: 1042395
User Limit: 9
Expiration Date: 01012500
Authorization Code: vdFvudEA
A user number is requested. This needs to be the number of the gun.
Note - Paul may have already done this for us.
Configure the keyboard
Login to SureMDM
On the home screen in the TC22 Holding Pen, locate the device to configure
Right click on the device and click remote.

Click on Exit SureLock

Enter the SureLock password
Tick Auto-launch kiosk on Next Reboot

Click Submit
On the device open the settings app.
Click System

Languages and Input

On-screen Keyboard

Gboard

Preferences

Tick Number row and untick Show emoji-switch key

Close the settings app.
